We are recruiting an orthopaedic surgeon M/F to join a hospital located in Montélimar, in the Drôme Provençale region, as part of a salaried contract or as a freelance.
Description and missions
You will join an orthopedic surgery department with 25 beds and a dedicated operating room. For information, this department performed 1345 surgical procedures in 2023, with an operating slot occupancy rate of 76%.
Your main tasks will be:
- Managing patients requiring orthopedic surgery
. - Managing care paths in conjunction with the emergency department and other medical specialties
. - The opportunity to participate in research and continuing education
Facility DNA
The medium-sized facility offers a complete infrastructure with:
- 730 beds divided between MCO medicine and EHPAD
- 8 operating theatres, including one dedicated to orthopedics
- A multi-purpose intensive care and continuing care unit (18 beds)
- An emergency department handling between 50,000 and 55,000 patients a year
. - An advanced technical platform with 2 multi-purpose MRIs, 3 scanners and several ultrasound and conventional radiology rooms

In addition, the facility benefits from an ambitious restructuring and architectural improvement project for the coming years.
Compensation
- Remuneration according to experience and status (salaried or self-employed)
- Compliance with Motif 1 step 6 regulations, with possibility of Motif 2 proposal
- Commitment bonus of €10,000 at the start of a hospital career and a further €10,000 at the end
of a career. - Possibility of specific bonuses for certain specialties
